Wise School graduate Leila Soleimani (’16) and her parents were interviewed on Israeli TV today about the freezing of the Kotel compromise by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and why an egalitarian expression of Judaism is so important. They also discussed why it is so meaningful for them to celebrate her Bat Mitzvah at the egalitarian section of the wall. Rabbi Ada Zavidov and Cantor Evan Cohen helped her celebrate becoming a Bat Mitzvah. Also in attendance were Rabbi Rick Jacobs and Anat Hoffman, who both blessed Leila.
