Sarah Shpall

Sarah Shpall joins the Wise School Administration Team with nearly two decades of teaching experience. Sarah earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Judaic Studies from the University of Oregon and a Masters in Education from Pepperdine University. She also holds a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. Sarah began teaching in 2005, and she joined the Wise School faculty after teaching for four years in Los Angeles Unified School District. In 2023, Sarah was awarded the prestigious Jewish Educators Award from the Milken Family Foundation and Builders of Jewish Education.
While at Wise, Ms. Shpall studied at Teachers College Reading Writing Project at Columbia University and developed a writing curriculum she used while teaching 6th grade. She believes in educating the whole child and applies this educational approach both in and out of the class.
Sarah is a musical theatre enthusiast and is part of the Wise School spring musical team where you can find her managing backstage. When she is not at school, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family, soaking up the sun by the pool, and silently correcting people’s grammar.
