Parenting Center

Your Parenting Journey Begins Here

Wise Parenting Center classes meet once or twice weekly and feature learning, music, play, guest speakers, and camaraderie for parents and children from three months to two years of age. At the Wise Parenting Center, parents will learn valuable parenting skills, children and parents will develop first and lifelong friendships, and all families will benefit from establishing Jewish roots in our Wise community. Additionally, we proudly host a roster of guest experts in child psychology and early childhood education to offer insight into the experience of being a parent.

Summer Baby & Me Class Descriptions

Baby & Me Class
  • Our Baby & Me classes give parents and children a chance to play together as they explore our incredible indoor and outdoor environments and a wide variety of learning activities. There is also plenty of time for discussion with our experienced facilitators, as well as snack and music time.
Grandparents & Me
  • Share the joys of Judaism with your extended family in a program designed especially for young children and their grandparents. Special projects, music, and holiday celebrations create meaningful bonds and a lifelong love of Jewish learning and tradition.
Messy Art
  • The messier the better!! This class gives children an opportunity to play and explore with a variety of art media.
Music Class
  • Our music specialist engages you and your child in this fun and rewarding class. Watch as your child joyfully discovers the world around them through movement, music and play. You will learn a variety of magical ways to interact and bond with your child as together you experiment with sounds, songs; play with rhythmic instruments, and dance the class away!
Shabbat Class
  • This class is always a favorite – featuring the structure of our regular parenting classes, but with the added bonus of baking hallah, lighting candles, and singing Shabbat songs together. These Friday classes are a great chance for you and your child to make your introduction to some of our most beautiful Jewish rituals.

It is a wonderful opportunity for the children to familiarize themselves with the environment they will be in come January. You and your child will be able to connect with other families in the same program.

This is NOT a drop-off program. Parents remain at school with their children. However, it is the next step from Parenting classes, as children begin to shift their trust and reliance from parents to their teachers while in class. The children will also partake in story time, art, water play, lunch (parents provide) and so much more.

Parent Discussion Q & A w/Parenting Center Coordinator Nicole Mevorakh, LMFT
  • Come join licensed marriage family therapist and Parenting Center Coordinator Nicole Mevorakh for this six-week discussion group! We will discuss everything mommy-related and so much MORE in this intimate weekly group. Together we will tackle pressing questions and learn about tools that help us handle the pressures of life as a mom and as a woman in today's world.

Space is limited and registration is on a first come first served basis. Please note, this is an adult-only class.
Walk n’ Talk
  • Enjoy the fresh air, get in your exercise and spend quality time with other moms in this six week session. We will meet in the Parenting Center and then take our babies (in strollers or baby carriers) up Casiano and back for a challenging two mile circle. We will end class back in the Parenting Center classroom where we will have approximately twenty minutes of discussion with our facilitator (This also gives you a nice opportunity to feed your babies and relax after the walk).
