West Coast Tigers is a youth club basketball program based in Los Angeles, California, offering competitive teams for young athletes. Our mission is to support their growth both on and off the court, fostering skill development, teamwork, and character.

Are you interested in building and programming real robots, but don’t know where to start? How about with our VEX GO Robotics course! Students will learn important engineering and block programming skills while building various robots using the VEX building system. Each challenge presents a problem to be solved through careful design and engineering. This is a non-competition class designed to introduce students to the world of robotics and block programming.

This high-energy class blends obstacle courses and plyometric-based fitness with fun games to build strength, endurance, speed, agility, and confidence while helping prevent injuries. Each week, students develop key skills like leadership, creativity, mental and physical resilience, and teamwork—skills that carry over to any sport or activity on and off the court.

In this fun and active class, kids will learn foundational gymnastics skills such as forward rolls, backward rolls, handstands, and cartwheels. Along the way, they’ll build balance, strength, coordination, flexibility, and gross motor skills—all in a supportive and encouraging environment. Wise School is proud to offer this exciting new music enrichment program for young aspiring musicians, with a choice of piano or Ukulele Guitar. This engaging class blends hands-on instruction with foundational music theory, helping students learn to read music (treble and bass clef), understand rhythm patterns, and play basic chord progressions. Through interactive games and guided practice, students will build coordination, creativity, and confidence. Taught in small ensembles of 3–5 students, the curriculum also includes Jewish music and encourages at-home practice with provided materials. Led by experienced instructors, this program sets the stage for musical excellence and a lifelong love of music.

Across 12 connected sessions, young entrepreneurs explore how marketplaces work, identify customer needs, develop original product ideas, conduct market research, create prototypes, calculate costs, set prices, design advertising and organize production. Every session begins with a lively Quick Challenge that gets students moving, thinking and collaborating before they apply those ideas to their developing businesses. Along the way, students strengthen practical skills in mathematics, communication, creativity, teamwork and engineering design. The experience culminates in a Student Marketplace where teams launch their products, interact with customers, track sales and determine whether their businesses earned a profit. It is a hands-on, high-energy introduction to entrepreneurship that gives students the freedom to be imaginative while challenging them to make thoughtful, evidence-based decisions.

Debate Club introduces students to the foundational skills of academic debate in an engaging and supportive environment. Students will learn to research current issues using credible sources, evaluate evidence, construct persuasive cases, anticipate opposing viewpoints, ask strategic questions, and deliver effective refutations and rebuttals. Through speeches and practice debates, students will strengthen their public speaking, critical thinking, active listening, note-taking, collaboration, time management, and ability to respond confidently under pressure. This club is separate from the competition team, whose members were selected at the end of the previous school year. Although Debate Club members will not compete in tournaments, they will serve as student ambassadors at our first tournament in December, welcoming visitors and helping them navigate our campus. Led by Head Debate Coach Mandy Snyder, Debate Club will meet throughout the school year on Tuesdays from 3:30–5pm in the Science Lab.

Our Cheer & Pom Enrichment program is a fun and energetic class where students build confidence, teamwork, and coordination through cheerleading and pom dance. Participants learn age-appropriate cheers, chants, jumps, arm motions, pom routines, and dance techniques in a positive and supportive environment. Hola! Come play, sing, move and discover Spanish! In this lively, interactive enrichment class, children are introduced to Spanish through music, games, movement, stories, creative activities and our lovable class mascot, Paco el Sapo. Each week brings a new adventure as children explore everyday Spanish words and phrases, including greetings, colors, numbers, animals, food and more. With plenty of repetition through play, children build vocabulary, confidence and an early love of language—without ever feeling like school. No previous Spanish experience needed. ¡Vamos a divertirnos!

Spanish becomes an adventure in this energetic, hands-on enrichment class! Students learn practical Spanish through games, team challenges, scavenger hunts, role-playing, music and weekly “Spanish Missions.” They’ll practice real-life language as they visit a pretend Spanish café, shop at a mercado, solve clues, introduce themselves and complete fun challenges with their classmates. Activities are designed with different levels of difficulty so both younger and older students can participate, succeed, and be challenged at their own pace. This class is a hands-on digital game design workshop where students will work in pairs to learn the basics of game design and utilize physical blocks, a game grid, and the Bloxels app to design and build their own interactive video games. Students will write compelling stories for their games and learn how to create unique artwork for the characters and objects in their games. We also learn how to debug our games, organize play testing with our classmates, and incorporate user feedback to improve our games.

We’ll begin with a lightning-fast review of the rules of the game but quickly move beyond that to dive into chess strategy, Tactics and style!
