Lisa Mamos is excited to begin her new role as Student Support and Academic Administrator at Wise School. With a solid focus on the individual needs of each student, Lisa’s goal is to ensure that ALL children thrive and develop in an appropriate and accommodating educational setting to become attentive and life-long learners. She is patient, calm, understanding, loving, flexible and committed to providing children with lifelong tools they need to succeed in all aspects of their lives. She has a special place in her heart for working with children who have learning differences and helping to create many of their “ah-ha” moments!

As a Special Education Teacher for the Wiseburn School District, Lisa worked with students who had various learning differences, including autism, specific learning disabilities, speech and language disorders and ADD/ADHD. During her time there as a Special Education Day Class Teacher, Resource Specialist, and Inclusion Support Provider, Lisa developed and implemented a Learning Center Model program providing academic and behavior support to these students. She designed, planned and instructed students using a variety of multi-sensory strategies and classroom accommodations and modifications to meet students’ needs. Lisa has created and implemented behavior management and support strategies that define clear and explicit expectations to teach and maintain positive and socially appropriate and acceptable behavior. She uses her interpersonal and communication skills to develop a positive rapport among faculty, administration, parents and students.

Lisa is a highly dedicated and experienced Special Education Specialist and teacher who holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Southern California and a double Master’s Degree in Special Education and Child & Adolescent Literacy from Loyola Marymount University. She is credentialed in California in both Mild/Moderate Learning Education and in Elementary Education. Lisa and her husband, Eric, are proud parents of their three adorable children, Caleb, Ethan and Benjamin. In her free time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family building lasting memories.
