Kiyomi Takahashi - Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Kiyomi is a senior yoga teacher. She is one of YogaWorks training team and has worked with them for a long time. Kiyomi has lots of experience in numerous styles of yoga. She is also a SmartFlow teacher. She is a kind person and loves to surf.

Class Description: Vinyasa is perhaps the most popular style of yoga in the West. You will breathe, focus, move, stretch and balance. You’ll flow continuously through sequences of traditional Sun Salutations and standing postures, linking breath with movement and work to build strength and endurance. Vinyasa means “to place in a special way,” and that informs the graceful dance that is a well-planned vinyasa sequence. When you hit the sweet spot and the endorphins kick in, a push up suddenly becomes an exercise in weightlessness- your glide, you float, you sail into a blissful final relaxation.

Maryam Askari - Iyengar Yoga

Maryam is a senior Iyengar teacher who studied and certified her training from the Iyengar Institute in India. Maryam teaches Iyengar classes at Yogaworks and also Internationally. Maryam has the unique ability to simultaneously challenge, inspire and nature her students. She constantly reminds her students that proper alignment is essential to strength and respect. She approaches her classes in a deeply personal and intuitive way.

Class Description: Named after master B.K.S Iyengar, this slower paced class focuses on classic postures and utilizes props to gain a deep awareness of correct alignment and precise actions in the body. Iyengar class often makes use of props such as belts, blocks and blankets, as aids in performing postures correctly, minimizing the risk of injury or strain, and making the postures accessible to all levels of practitioners.

Janelle Stack - Yoga & Pilates

Janelle is a Yoga teacher, Pilates instructor, swimmer, hiker, traveler, outdoors lover, and a forever student. completed over 500 hours of study from teachers including Annie Carpenter, Bianca Fearon, and Layna Dakin. Her classes are fun, smart, and challenging! In addition to working at WiseFit, she teaches public classes at various locations around Santa Monica, CA and also offer private and corporate classes.

Class Description: The Pilates and Yoga Combo class provides a challenging practice that will strengthen, stretch, and tone your entire body. This energizing practice combines the two mind-body formats into one so you can reap the benefits of greater strength, flexibility, and peace of mind.

Ages 14 - 23 months:
This stimulating program introduces balancing, tumbling and agility skills, which helps the children develop a love of physical activity and a sense of pride in their achievements. This is for ages 14-23 months

23 Months to 2 1/2 years:
The gross motor abilities of early 2-year-olds are often characterized by more confident running and jumping on two feet as well as an overall improved spatial awareness of their bodies. This is the earliest age group with which we work on fine and gross manipulatives in a structured format, as the 2 to 2½-year-old's attention span grows, allowing the child to focus for longer periods of time.
