Whether you are a working parent, want your child to have even more opportunities for social engagement with peers, or both, we have a variety of activities to meet your needs.

Before and After-School Extended Day Programs

Parents may sign-up for the school year for a special price or utilize our “Drop-in” options (see Drop-in pricing below). Early Morning care is available daily from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Extended Day care is available daily from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Both Early Morning and Extended Day will take place in room 12.

Monday - 11 Classes

Bugs & Gardening

Children experience the enriching environment of nature and growth. We get our hands dirty while we plant seeds, explore different kinds of soil, and learn about the ways that seedlings grow.

Creative Movement

Get moving with your friends as we discover and learn about different types of dance! The children will have the opportunity to learn techniques of traditional dances from around the world while expressing themselves through creative movement. Our goal is to encourage social emotional development, promote physical fitness, and to provide a positive self-image.

Science

In this program, children’s curiosity is fueled by the marvels of magnetism, the effects of gravity, and the wonders of light and color.

Young Ninjas USA™: Red Level

Young Ninjas mini is a high energy, non-contact martial arts program, designed to teach preschool children basic martial arts techniques in a creative, fun, and safe environment. This session, new and returning students will participate in entertaining and NEW martial arts games and activities that combine Tae Kwon Do, Karate, & Kung Fu. Activities will help develop coordination, balance and refined motor skills through physical challenges and fun ninja games. During this session’s course, Young Ninjas will focus on the attribute of “confidence “and will receive their red power-band. Young Ninjas are asked to follow the "Promise of the Ninja" which promotes teamwork and confidence. All Young Ninjas receive an official Young Ninjas personalized Certificate of Achievement at the end of a completed session. All equipment and pads used in class are made from foam and are child friendly. Ki-ya!

English Kinder Readiness

This class is designed for our Pre-K Hebrew Emerson class children. Students in this enrichment class will reinforce their Kindergarten readiness skills in the English language. The class will also focus on further development of their social skills, cooperative learning and play techniques. In addition, technology will be utilized when appropriate to foster kindergarten readiness. The children will be engaged in activities utilizing a variety of learning modalities.

Happy Kid Yoga

Yoga is a wonderful way to build strength, balance and flexibility, and to improve focus and confidence in children. A certified yoga instructor will teach your child yoga poses, breathing exercises and relaxation techniques in this fun and interactive class. Each week new poses will be introduced as characters on a yoga story time adventure. Class ends relaxing to peaceful music. Games, props and visual aids are utilized to engage students. All classes are non-competitive and customized to meet the specific needs of the group.

Hip-Hop Aerobics

This class emphasizes hip-hop movement and up-beat music. Children will explore the basics of hip-hop dance mixed with active aerobics.

Learning Games

Through enjoyable activities such as body movement and games, children will develop the skills necessary for pre-math and reading readiness. Children will be helped to develop skills in the following: oral directions, listening comprehension, sequencing, and letter/ number form discrimination.

Soccer Shots

Soccer Shots is a national program designed to introduce your child to the game of soccer. This class not only teaches the basic skills of soccer, but it also places a high emphasis on character development, as well.

Story Book Acting

Allow your child to enter the world of stories using their imagination and acting! Every week the children will interact and act out different childhood classic stories. Puppets, dress up and silliness are always part of the fun! All ages are encouraged to participate.

Mindful Minds

Children are naturally intuitive. With guidance, they understand how to develop this valuable way of perceiving life, and relating their inner and outer experiences with confidence. Through a connection of the natural environment and the practice of remaining present through our senses, the children will become aware of being mindful. On a weekly basis, we will practice Mindfulness, through age-appropriate movements, music, and art. The children will build a healthy relationship to their bodies and emotions, and learn ways of self-regulation through, creative themes, picture books, breathing, imagination, and yoga poses. With lots of fun, the children will gain flexibility in mind, body, and spirit.

    Big Animal Encounters- Around the World

    Travel the world... with animals! This session we will be bringing animals from countries near and far and exploring the wonderful diversity of their adaptations. Small animals, big animals, furry animals, birds, and more! This class is hands on with live, kid-friendly animals. In this fun and gentle learning environment, students learn about the featured animal through a variety of ways, including stories, games or a related arts and crafts project. Come join us this session, where you'll meet a variety of new animal friends. We have over 500 animals, many of which have been adopted or rescued.

    Soccer Shots

    Music with Ditza

    Recording artist Ditza Zakay, one of the Shirettes, is offering a music enrichment class! The children will explore music through instruments, drumming, puppets, finger play, stories, rhythm, rhymes, creative movement and singing, in both Hebrew and English!

    Improv

    Improv is a form of live theater in which the plot, characters, story, and dialogue are made up in the moment. This class is a super fun way to introduce the children to confidence and skill-building exercises that include characterization, space work, team-building, cooperation, listening, and spontaneity!

    Recycle Art Fun

    Children will develop self-awareness about the importance of being a responsible citizen of the environment and community we live in. The children will acquire important life skills by reducing, recycling and composting on campus. Reducing waste, Reusing materials, Recycling materials to raise money for “Beit Issie Shapiro”, and composting for our gardens.

    Egghead Doctors

    Paging all Eggheads! Come join the staff of Egghead Brainiacs this session! From germs to your nose, from brains to your bones, students investigate and explore mystery scents, bend their minds with eye-teasing illusions, mix up fake blood, make super hearing devices, and tons more. Professor Egghead Science Academy offers the coolest science and engineering programs for girls and boys in PreK. At the end of the session, students will receive a Egghead Doctor Degree. Science has never been this cool! ™
