Marilyn Balachio, Assistant Director, Early Childhood Center
Marilyn Balachio has worked in the early childhood field as an educator for thirty-five years. She has previously been with us as a Head Teacher at the Early Childhood Center, as well as a Parenting Group Facilitator at our Parenting Center. In both roles, she was responsible for developing curriculum, communicating with parents, and fostering an innovative learning environment for the children.
Marilyn completed her education at San Fernando State College and then continued to take education classes at LA Valley College, Hebrew Union College, Pacific Oaks, and the UCLA Extension School.
Marilyn has two children and two grandchildren. She enjoys long walks and reading great literature. She recently has been able to travel with family and friends to many interesting places.
Marilyn went on to become the Assistant Director / Pre-K Head Teacher at the Leo Baeck Temple Early Childhood Center, and later to the Wilshire Boulevard Temple Mann Family Early Childhood Center, where she served as a Parenting Group Facilitator, Head Teacher, and the Assistant Director.
Marilyn is here with us again as the Assistant Director of the Early Childhood Center.
She will again impart her high standard of educational excellence and personal commitment to the faculty, parents, and especially to our children.
